  Justin Rose managed to secure an outstanding victory in the 2019 edition of the event, pulling ahead with two shots of Australian Adam Scott. Just like Woods appearance in this year’s event, Rose will just be starting his year in golfing.

  And he is back for another shot at the title, which will pit him against the true legend of the Torrey Pines Golf Course – Woods himself. In the meantime, though, they might have both to watch out as the field of contestants is quickly filling up. With the 2020 Farmers Insurance Open all ready to tee off, many high-profile golfers have joined the field of competitors.

THE 2020 FARMERS INSURANCE OPEN OVERVIEW

On Thursday, January 24, the Torrey Pines will once again host the PGA Tour 2020 Farmers Insurance Open, the inaugural first even in this year’s PGA Tour, and first important event of the year for competitors in what is arguably the most important golf tournament in January.

The event is important for a number of reasons and not least of all because Tiger Woods, the legendary golfer, is returning to seek his 83^rd PGA Tour victory and set a new record that golfers long after him will have to aspire to.

To Woods, of course, the Farmers Insurance Open is not exactly a new challenge. He has already won it seven times and he also clinched a 2008 U.S. Open victory, to top his stellar track record off. Here is a look at the latest odds.

One look at the latest odds tells a story to tell. Woods (+1000) is once again in the top potential finishers and this is not by surprise. His track record at the Farmers’ is something friend nor foe cannot ignore for long.

Not surprisingly, he is listed in the first three most likely golfers to seal the title. Of course, this is hardly the reason to expect success, and there are many talented golfers, albeit the odds wouldn’t suggest so quite openly.

Jon Rahm and Rory Mcllroy are clearly in the lead boosted by their most recent performance. With some 7,698 yards to cover in South Course and another 7,258 yards in North Course on Thursday, there is definitely plenty of opportunity to see some of the underdogs climb back up to the top.
