N.F.L. Week 17 Prediction: Jacksonville Jaguars at Indianapolis Colts
2 min readOut with 2020 and in with 2021. It’s do or die time for teams looking to grab one of the remaining few wild card sports in the NFL and who would have thoughts The Colts (10-5) have a good chance of being the best team in the N.F.L. that doesn’t make the playoffs this season.
The colts takes on the Jags this weekend and need some help. Indy had a playoff spot secured last week until they hit a brick wall late against the Steelers and lost the game.
Indianapolis now not only needs to win to get a wild-card spot, but also needs Baltimore, Cleveland or Miami to lose or to tie. Otherwise the Colts will be the No. 8 seed in a seven-team playoff format.
With the other 3 teams all slated to start their weekend games at 1:00 pm, the Colts will go into this game knowing if they have a chance at a wildcard but even if that doesnt work in their favor they can still capture the A.F.C South title with A win or a tie, combined with a Tennessee loss.
Now if all of this doesn’t make your head spin I’m not sure what will.
The Jaguars are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. AFC and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall. The Colts are 4-9 ATS in their last 13 vs. AFC and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.
The over is 11-5 in Jaguars last 16 vs. AFC. The over is 8-3 in Colts last 11 games overall. The Jaguars are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.
The Jaguars (1-14) no longer have motivation to lose, as the top pick in next year’s draft is secured. The Jacksonville Jaguars haven’t won a road game since December of 2019.
After last weeks loss I can’t see the Colts taking their foot off the gass peddle this weekend and this one shouldn’t even be close
