Wild-Card Saturday| INDIANAPOLIS (11-5) vs BUFFALO (13-3)

2 min read

What a way to kick off wild card Saturday with an AFC interdivisional clash between the Colts and the Bills.
Las Vegas bookmakers opened the line at Buffalo (-7.0) O/U (52.5) and this has not come off that number at most books along the strip.

The Bills have won nine of their last 10 games, covering the spread in each of thier past eight games. What a year for QB Josh Allen 45TD’s / 4,545 passing yards and the Bills generated over 501 points which was the 2nd most in the league.
This is the first time in over 24 years the Bills are hosting a playoff game can you believe that?

The Indianapolis Colts enter this game having won four of its last five games.
Colts have a top-10 defense with two superstar caliber players in defensive lineman DeForest Buckner and linebacker Darius Leonard. Indy ranks No. 2 in run defense.

If you look at the strength of schedule you will find the Colts played 5 games versus teams that were playoff bounf over the last 9 games while the Bills met only one playoff bound team during their last 7 games of the regular season.

The Colts do have what we believe is a better defense and we think as a bettor you’ll be paying a price on the Bills based on their long streak of covering point spreads during the regular season.

The pressure squarely is onthe Bills. Some interesting statistics to consider. The Buffalo Bills are 0-6 SU in their last 6 playoff games dating back to 1996, not to mention 1-10 ATS in the playoffs when coming off an ATS win of 7 or
more points. The Colts enter 10-6 SU and 11-5 ATS in the postseason
versus foes coming off an ATS win of 8 or more points, including 6-2
ATS as a dog.

Meanwhile, QB Philip Rivers is 6-2 ATS as a playoff dog,and 5-1 SU and 4-2 ATS in his career against the Bills.

This will not sit well with the Buffalo faithful looking to cover that (-7) but at some point even the best looking pineapple on the tree comes up a little sour when you cut into it and this could be the case this afternoon.

Prediction: Indy Colts (+7.0)
