Preview|2021-GEICO 500 at Talladega

2 min read

Nascar returns this weekend with restrictor-plate racing at Talladega with the GEICO 500. The green flag drops at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday and will run for 188 laps over a 2.66-mile tri-oval.

The NASCAR Cup Series now has eight winners through nine races after last weekend’s race at Richmond Raceway when Alex Bowman took the lead from Danny Hamlin with 17 laps to go to pull the upset.

In the past Talldega has produced many upsets but no driver has been better than Denny Hamlin who has five cup wins on superspeedways, and the most recent winner at Talladega .
When the green flag drops Hamlin should be the betting choice on Sunday but guys like Chase Elliott,Brad Keselowski and Kevin Harvick will give him a run for the money.
