The 2021 Kentucky Derby odds & Selection(s)

The 2021 Kentucky Derby draw was held earlier today and the post positions are all set.
Essential Quality is the morning line favorite in the latest 2021 Kentucky Derby odds and drew post position # 14 in the 20 horse field.

It would be difficult not to establish Essential Quality as the 2-1 morning line choice after winning his first five starts and has looked ultra impressive of the Churchill downs course where he broke his maiden and then went on to capture The Breeders’ Futurity and then the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile as a two-year-old.

Essential Quality was a recent winner of the 2021 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes, 1the 2021 Southwest Stakes but had to work for the win in the Toyota Blue Grass over a stubborn Chad Brown trained horse called Highly Motivated who tired to take the wind out of Essential Quality’s sail.

I think Essential Quality could be beaten here and I have my eye on Known Agenda as horse that could be the major spoilers.

Known Agenda (6-1) yes I’m not totally in love with post position #1 but Hall of Fame trainer Todd Pletcher has his charge ready after winning the Florida Derby against a solid field at the end of March.
