Kentucky Remains Unbeaten and Improves

Sir Charles rarely shies away from challenges. Even mental ones that he has no business tackling, he insists on running with the bulls so to speak.  Recently, Barkley stated that Houston stinks.  So the Houston GM tweets back that his misinformed biased vitriol passes as entertainment.  Charles took to the airwaves in a gaffe/rant that lasted way too long at four minutes.  In the end, TNT should keep the clown but limit him to the side show.

Mockery Gets the Job Done

kentucky wins

#1 was more than on the ropes last night.  LSU was doing a number on Kentucky.  Imploring them in a most unusual manner, Calipari began fist pumping buckets that the Tigers scored.  He got in his own player’s faces and informed them of their inevitable demise.  Salvation came from Karl-Anthony Towns.  He got an untimely and ill advised technical foul earlier but atoned for it.  Clutch hoops and offensive rebounds preserved the perfect season with a 71-69 win.  This was more than keeping the slate clean.  It was a lesson on not giving away pivotal late games on senseless mental mistakes.  Last night made the Wildcats even tougher as March approaches.

Almost Everyone Evicted From Oklahoma

Highly rated each pre season, the Oklahoma Sooners have usually disappointed their football fans.  Forget about the bowl win against an Alabama team that did not care, but expectations are higher than the results in Norman.  And yet Stoops survives.   Almost all of his assistant coaches are gone.  Eight out of nine in fact.  This is what is bound to happen in 8-5 seasons.  Besides integrating all these coaches in, the offense is reverting back to the air raid system that gave them success eons ago.

Finally, we have a battle of NBA teams without their superstars.  Blake and Dwight are both out for this one.  The Clippers looked utterly lost before blowing out Dallas in the last game of a very long road trip.  -3 is the current line for the LAC at home against the Rockets.  Main question is if the Clippers have the scoring punch that can outscore the Rockets.  No defense will be played in this one.  This is seen by the 213 1/2 total in this one.  Houston will be ready to run in this and have the players that can do this.  Dwight slows them down while Blake would speed up the Clippers.  The ATB Free Pick of the Evening are the Rockets +3.  Good fortune and we will see you tomorrow.
