Could Goran Go To Houston Again?

2 min read
Goran to Houston?

All across the country, discussion about that team in blue threatens to derail debate on the local heroes.  This is what happens when you have an undefeated school from a premier conference.  This is not the Shockers of last year where the debate was when and not if.  Kentucky brings up how as in what it will take to beat them.  Well, hope was given last night even in the face of a near twenty point win.  Find out how this could be and whom one of ATB’s favorite NBA teams is trying to get.  Good Morning ATB’ers, down that coffee and let us get going.

Rockets Not Done Shopping

The inability to close some big deals has come back to haunt the Houston Rockets.  Two years later and this team is still on the outside, they are conidered more of a dark horse than a contender to the throne.  With Bosch choosing Miami and the Houston GM letting Parsons go to Dallas, this team wants another star to make them shine above their rivals.  The player that might fill that void is Goran Dragic.  For a team that has little interest in playing defense, this offensive whirlwind has many ways to score.  He is a hard out to defend one on one.  While it would not help stop opponents, it would immensely help the Rockets in terms of spacing for open shots  Dragic has told the Suns he will not use his player option next year  It is up to the Suns to see what they can get and Houston will probably pay more than most.

Kentucky looked Mortal

Every game can not be a rout as the Kentucky fans have learned.  If there is ever to be discontent in a victory, the Wildcats had that in their 66-48 win over the Vols.  For a long time Tenn was allowed to hang in their due to offensive and defensive problems of Kentucky.  A drastic height advantage did not translate well as the Vols battled to an even tally in rebounding.  Points in the pain went against Kentucky 34-22.  Finally, three point range shots were errant at a 5 – 22 clip.  On a night that Kentucky set a mark for best start to their season, teams all around the nation will pound the film to see how Tenn stayed in this one until nine minutes left in the game.

There is something to be said about fun basketball.  Houston might be looking at another sport and saying see “We are right in what we are doing!”  The Toronto Maple Leafs went to tight defensive play in mid season and in doing so produced one of the worst twenty game stretches in their history.  Goran does not plug one defensive score but at the end of the night, the one who wins has the most points.  ATB hopes Houston gets Goran as the fireworks will be intense.
