FOOTBALL IS BACK!! And there is really nothing better than it!  Over the next few weeks I will get you ready for the new season with my training camp previews for all 32 NFL teams. I will take a look at what teams should be excited about, what their biggest issues are, as well as where I see them finishing in 2016.

NFC EAST

NEW YORK GIANTS (2015 record: 6-10 third place NFC East – missed playoffs)

Strengths – Good work in the offseason thru the draft and free agency. Still have a QB that has won two Super Bowl’s.

Weaknesses – Most of the rest of the team, but especially the running game which will likely be one of the worst in the NFL. The front seven which used to be solid is now full of holes, and the O-line seems to be getting worse and worse.

Predicted finish: 8-8 Tied First NFC East – No Playoffs

Super Bowl Odds: 22-1 (Bet $100 win $2200)

Key Game of the Year: Week 5 October 9th at Green Bay on Sunday Night Football. Huge measuring stick for the G-Men against one of the NFL’s best.

PHILADELPHIA EAGLES (2015 record: 7-9 second place NFC East – missed playoffs)

Strengths – Not much to celebrate in Philly, but they do have a solid O-Line to protect whatever bad QB will be in there. No matter how you slice it, it is going to be a rough year for first year head coach Doug Pederson.

Weaknesses – Major QB questions, a horrid RB core, and very little WR depth.

Predicted finish: 4-12 Last NFC East – No Playoffs

Super Bowl Odds: 70-1

Key Game of the Year: Week 3 September 25th Home vs. Steelers. The battle for Pennsylvania comes a knockin’ and is a huge spot for Philly to gain some early season momentum.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS (2015 record: 9-7 NFC East Champs – Lost to Packers in first round)

Strengths – QB Kirk Cousins had a heck of a year last season and will need to keep it going in 2016. Skins have one of the better WR cores in the NFL and Secondary could be a top 10 unit.

Weaknesses – Washington comes into the season with one of the worst RB units in the NFL and has one of the weaker front seven’s in the league.

Predicted finish: 8-8 Tied First NFC East – Playoffs

Super Bowl Odds: 50-1

Key Game of the Year: Week 8 October 30th at Cincy. This is where the Skins can show against one of the AFC’s best on the road that last year was no fluke.

DALLAS COWBOYS (2015 record: 4-12 last place NFC East – missed playoffs)

Strengths – One of the best O-line’s in the NFL, tons of offensive weapons like WR Dez Bryant and rookie RB Ezekiel Elliot, solid.

Weaknesses – Losing Tony Romo notttttt good. Huge upside for rookie QB Dak Prescott, but asking a lot of him right away. One of the worst secondaries in the NFL.

Predicted finish: 7-9 Tied second NFC East – No Playoffs

Super Bowl Odds: 30-1 and dropping

Key Game of The Year: Week 1 September 11th Home vs. divisional rival Giants. This is where the season could start with a bang or start with a whimper and a multitude of question marks with a rookie QB at the helm.
