What a battle we could have on our hands down in Knoxville on Saturday afternoon as the Vols try to do what they haven’t been able to in years and take down Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide. The Vols come off an epic double OT loss to Texas A&M last week, but showed like they did in the Hail Mary win over Georgia a couple weeks ago, that they are never out of any game and can win any game where they don’t shoot themselves.

Vols QB Joshua Dobbs has been a revelation at times this year and the Tennessee defense is a lot better than some give it credit for being and has athlete’s everywhere. Bama is unreal and makes it next to impossible for most teams to take them down, but this scrappy Vols team might have just enough medicine to do the trick and being at home only gives them that better of a chance.

Look for the home fans to give the Vols a huge early boost and for Bama to be tested in the first half. While I don’t know if Tennessee has the horses to win this game outright, I would be truly stunned if this wasn’t at least close to the bitter end.

13 points in simply too much for an offense that can score in bunches and score in seconds. This will be a lot different than Bama’s game last week on the road at Arkansas, which simply didn’t have enough firepower on either side of the ball to keep up with the Tide’s superior talent. Tennessee doesn’t have the depth that Bama does, but their margin of horses is not that far off.
