In what could be the best non-playoff bowl game of the season, two teams with a lot to prove get it going on the eve of New Years Eve from South Florida. Michigan knows they were good enough to get into the playoff, but a late losses to Iowa and a classic double OT thriller defeat to Ohio State did them in.

The Seminoles had College Football Playoff aspirations as well, but an early season beat down by Louisville did them in, but they revived nicely and played some great football towards the end of the year.

Now the great FSU offense, led by RB Dalvin Cook and redshirt Freshman QB Deondre Francis, go up against the nations #1 defense that likely will have all 11 starters drafted into the NFL this upcoming draft. This has all the makings of which team can impose its will on the others super strong unit. I see a back and forth game that will have all the feeling of a playoff semi-final and for this game to be won on one or two huge plays by the Wolverines.

Look for all-world DB/LB Jabril Peppers to have a huge impact in all three phases in this game and for the Michigan defense to be just enough against the stellar FSU offense. The Michigan offense is led by a great QB in his own right by Wilton Speight, who was injured late in the season and has weapons everywhere and that combined with the solid Michigan D will give the Wolverines a nice win to end the 2016 campaign in year number two under Jim Harbaugh.
