A battle for Eastern Conference playoff seeding lifts off from the Nations Capital on Friday night and should be a dandy as both teams have been playing some solid basketball as of late. The Pacers come off a loss to Cleveland on Wednesday, but had won seven in a row before that much like the Wizards who had won seven in a row before their epic loss on Monday to the Cavs where they scored 135 in an OT defeat.
This game will be all about tempo as both these teams can run and gun and have been scoring points in bunches the last month plus. The Wizards have been able to play better team D during that stretch, but Indy hasn’t been that far off in that department either.
I see this as a back and forth game the entire way, coming down to a couple of late possessions and with as hot as both these teams have been, I simply have to take the five points with Indy as they could very well win this one outright.
Paul George is due for a big game and I see him getting to at least 30 in this one. Look for a lot of fireworks a few miles away from the White House to start your weekend off right.
7.4 DTM Bagels and Locks on the Pacers (IND +5)
