Kevin Durant makes his first trip back to OKC, where he played his entire career, save the time in Seattle, in what should be an emotional and intense atmosphere as the defending Western Conference champs invade Chesapeake Energy Arena. Many won’t know whether to boo or cheer one of the greatest to ever suit up in the NBA and especially for the Thunder franchise.

It was a tough decision for Durant to move on from the only franchise he has ever known this past off-season, but now is part of an absolute monster in Golden State and knows that he gave it his all in trying to make the Thunder a champion.

This game means a lot more for the Thunder than it does for the Warriors at the point of the season as we head towards the All Star break, so expect OKC’s best effort in a while as they welcome back the Durantula. This has Russell Westbrook explosion all over it as he has simply had a mesmerizing year filled with triple double’s and some of the best individual play we have seen in the NBA in recent memory.

The Warriors will be ready for this one, but with all the emotion in the building and especially for Durant, I see GSW struggling a little bit at times as the Thunder faithful will be in this from second one. Look for this to be a tight game throughout and for the Thunder to be in it until then end, which has me shading the 7.5 points with their solid home court advantage and the importance of this game.
