NBA Who’s Hot and Who’s Not – Feb. 27

The All-Star break is in the books and the NBA trade deadline has come and gone so it is time to strap in for the regular season’s final push towards the playoffs. For NBA fans, this means counting down to a probable rematch between Cleveland and Golden State in the NBA Finals. For sports bettors at BetAnySports, it means finding a few hot teams to ride or a few not so hot teams to go against to boost your overall NBA betting bankroll.

The Philadelphia 76ers are not going anywhere at 22-36 on the year straight-up, but they are this week’s hottest betting team in the NBA with a seven-game winning streak against the spread. They are 4-3 SU during the same span with victories over teams such as Miami and Washington as home underdogs. Philadelphia is 36-21-1 ATS on the year and it has closed as an underdog in 55 of the 58 games it has played. The total has gone OVER BetAnySports’ closing line in five of its last seven games.

Miami has been one of the hottest betting teams in the NBA for quite some time at 16-2 both SU and ATS over its last 18 games. The Heat have stayed hot off the break with a road victory against Atlanta as three-point underdogs followed by Saturday’s 113-95 rout of Indiana as 4.5-point home favorites with BetAnySports. They are now 27-32 SU (35-24 ATS) and in serious contention for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. The total has stayed UNDER in four of Miami’s last seven games.

Another hot betting team in the East has been the Chicago Bulls at 4-0 both SU and ATS in their last four games. The Bulls are clinging to the sixth spot in the conference standings at 30-29 on the year, but they just opened some eyes with Saturday’s 117-99 victory over rival Cleveland as six-point road underdogs. They will get a shot at taking down Golden State at home later in the week.

Two hot teams in the Western Conference face off against one another on Tuesday night in a huge showdown in the Northwest Division title race. Both the Utah Jazz (37-22 SU. 27-31-1 ATS) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (34-25 SU, 33-26 ATS) have won their last three games SU and ATS. The season series has been split 1-1 (SU and ATS), but the final two games will be played in Oklahoma City.

If you are looking for a few teams to go against right now, New York in the East and New Orleans in the West have failed to cover in their last three games. The Los Angeles Lakers have lost their last four games both SU and ATS.
