The Horizon League tourney kicks off at Joe Louis Arena for the final time before the new Little Ceasers Arena opens up next season as two teams with very tough years thus far look for postseason redemption. Milwaukee was barred from the postseason last year stemming from academic violations and the program has been in disarray ever since. Detroit fired their long time coach Ray McCallum and brought in former Titan great and former Michigan assistant coach Bacari Alexander to move the program in a different direction and there have been massive growing pains this year.

The Titans though have found a little pep in their step over the past couple weeks with wins over Cleveland State on Senior night and a win at this same Milwaukee team last weekend.

This is going to be a battle till the end, but Detroit simply has more horses and with player like All Horizon League 2nd teamer Jaleel Hogan, better known as Jalethal, who is a walking double-double, it is going to be very tough for Milwaukee to win this one. Add in the fact that Detroit will have a solid home crowd in front of them and this is a solid play in the 7-10 game.

Look for both teams to have their moments in the first half, but as Hogan and company get things together as the game goes on, Detroit will take the advantage and never give it back up. It has been a horrid year for Detroit, but they will be able to hang their hats on at least one post season win to take a little of the sting out of it.
