The playoff race for the top spot in both the Eastern and Western Conference standings has suddenly gotten rather interesting with both Cleveland and Golden State feeling the heat from some legitimate contenders on their tails. There are number of other teams further down this list in each race still fighting for a spot in the postseason, which makes things even more interesting for NBA bettors at BetAnySports.
The Cavaliers are a very pedestrian 6-4 straight-up in their last 10 games and they have now failed to cover against the spread in four of their last five games following Saturday’s 120-92 loss to Miami as eight-point road underdogs. Both LeBron James and Kyrie Irving sat that one out, but look for both of them to be on the court this Monday night with Cleveland listed as a nine-point favorite against the Heat in the backend of this home-and-home series.
Golden State actually lost two games in a row SU as part of a costly 1-7 record ATS in its last eight contests. The Warriors snapped this mini skid with Sunday’s 112-105 victory on the road against New York, but they failed to cover BetAnySports’ closing 10.5-point spread. The total has stayed UNDER in six of their last seven games heading into Monday’s road game against Atlanta as 5.5-point favorites.
If you are looking for a hot NBA team to bet on, the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Northwest Division and the Dallas Mavericks in the Southwest should move to the top of the list. With Saturday’s 97-90 loss to San Antonio as 7.5-point road underdogs, the Timberwolves have now covered in their last six games. They are 4-2 SU during this same span and the total has stayed UNDER BetAnySports’ closing line in five of the six games. Minnesota will play host to Portland on Monday night as a four-point favorite.
The Mavericks are 4-1 SU in their five starts and a perfect 5-0 ATS after knocking off Oklahoma City 104-89 on Sunday as slight one-point home favorites. They are now 12-1 ATS in their last 13 home games with the lowly Los Angeles Lakers coming to town on Tuesday night. The Lakers have lost their last seven games SU while going 0-6-1 ATS at BetAnySports.
Indiana has been a decent betting team in the East out of the Central Division since late February with a 4-1 mark ATS in its last five games while going 3-2 SU. The total has stayed UNDER in the Pacers’ last seven games.
