What a horrid year it has been a for Longhorns program that used to be an NCAA Tournament staple. Mustering just 10 wins this year so far has been tough, but not that tough at the mid to bottom Big 12. They also come in losers of seven in a row and having no answers for even middling teams.

Texas Tech on the other hand has had some amazing moments this year and if they go on a little run in the Big 12 Tourney could maybe sneak into the Big Dance, but likely would have to win the whole darn thing. The Red Raiders should be able to run circles around Texas in this one and I am surprised the number isn’t higher than 4.5. They do come off a tough loss to Kansas State in their final regular season game, but I look for renewed energy from Tech in this one against the inferior Longhorns.

Look for Tech guard Keenan Evans to have a huge game, as he hasn’t had anything less than a double digit scoring game since December 17th. The Tech pressure D will be a major factor in this one as well as I think this one could be over by halftime. Look for the Red Raiders to blast their fellow in-state rival and keep their very faint tourney hopes alive at least for one day.
