BOSTON CELTICS AT CHICAGO BULLS GAME 6 (CELTICS LEAD SERIES 3-2)

The Bulls started this series on fire and looked like they might pull one of the biggest first round upsets ever, then the Celtics started to play like the Celtics again and have won three straight to push Chicago to elimination. Yes, the Bulls missed Rondo, after they took the 2-0 lead, but with the way that the C’s have been playing the last few games, they could have MJ and Pippen and it might not matter. Boston has found thier groove and they know they don’t want to give Chicago any coincidence by letting this go to a winner-take-all game seven back in Beantown.

The start of this series was completely fraught with emotion as Isaiah Thomas had just lost his sister to a car accident on the even of the series starting and it clearly effected Thomas and the team, but not only have they recovered , but they look like a team that is capable of challenging anyone in the East right now. Al Horford has been a beast in the middle, Thomas has been spectacular, and the C’s defense has been something to behold late in games.

Look for this game to start the same way the last three have, with a big Boston lead. The Bulls will work themselves back into it and make this one exciting, but in the end the C’s will just have too much for a Bulls team that honestly is just lucky to have even made the playoff’s. The question now becomes can the Celts leave this series with the kind of momentum they need to make a serious run at the NBA Finals in a year where they have been so inconsistent at times. For one night and for one series , this will be a Boston team that feels like anything is possible in 2017!
