Musical Romance Stakes Gulfstream Park Saturday May 17

Gulfstream Park is the sight this weekend for the $100,000 Musical Romance Stakes where a field of 9 fillies and mares will go the distance of 7 furlongs.

The early morning line favorite Lady’s Island has been nothing short of brilliant.

Last year 2019 she reeled out 8 wins and a second place result from 9 starts banking $290,000 for her connections.

Lady’s Island kicked off the 2020 season with a second place finish to extravagant Kid while leading for most of the the 6 furlong dash.

In her subsequent next two starts at Tamps Bay she was no match for the others easily coasting to 2 length victory/s in both starts.

Today the main threat will come from Wildwood’s Beauty who has finished back to back seconds in her last two outings of 2020.

Wildwood’s beauty had a solid 2019 campaign which had her winning 4 out of 10 starts with 5 runner up finishes.
