Busch tries to for “4” at Glen

Back after breaking his leg in a crash Sprint Cup star Kyle Busch has won three of last four races and looks to make it 4 out of the last 5.

The streak of 4 for 4 came to an on last Sunday At at Pocono Raceway when Busch ran out of gas while leading on the final lap.Kyle returns to The Glen’s where he was a winner back in 2008 and as recent as 2013.

Busch and 43 other Sprint Cup drivers will hit the 2.45-mile, 11-turn road course for practice Friday. They’ll be joined by NASCAR drivers from the Xfinity Series and the K&N Pro Series East at the track, with K&N’s Bully Hill Vineyards 125 at The Glen capping Friday’s action with a 51-lap race that starts at 6:15 p.m.
“There is no doubt about Kyle Busch’s talent, but you never know how an injury is going to affect someone, becoming a father, how that’s going to affect someone,” Letarte said. “He’s gone through a lot over the first six months this year. Unfortunately for the competitors in the garage, Kyle Busch is much calmer and more mature and just as talented a race car driver.”

Busch described his son as “the joy of our lives” for him and Samantha. Their presence has been a positive influence during his surge, he said.

“Just being able to have the both of them to be able to travel the road with me every week, we’re blessed to have that opportunity to have our motor home and to be here and share all that together,” Busch said in a team press release.
