Dallas Cowboys (6-6) at Chicago Bears (6-6)

Dallas at Chicago

America’s Bookie Line: Dallas -3.0 O/UTotal: 43.0

The cowboys left a bad taste in our mouths after the Thanksgiving day game and it had nothing to do with the turkey being passed around the dinner table. If you are taking notes this makes 4 straight games
where RB Elliott has failed to top 100 yards and 4 straight games where the
Cowboys haven’t forced a TO. Statistically they are one of the best teams in
the NFL (were +10 first downs and +70 yards last week) but obviously it hasn’t
shown on the final scoreboard. On the other side, the Bears got a win but no
cover (at least to those who bet them on Game Day) in their win over Detroit last Thursday.

Dallas has the No. 1 offense at 432.8 yards per game and Dak Prescott has passed for an NFL-best 3,788 yards, but he could not get his team in the end zone at New England and repeatedly came up empty after scoring on the opening drive versus Buffalo. Ezekiel Elliott, who is 10 yards shy of reaching 1,000 for the season, has rushed for only one touchdown in his last five games following a stretch of running for a score in four straight. Amari Cooper also has been held out of the end zone in three straight but did have eight catches for 85 yards last week. The Cowboys are stout against the pass, yielded 215.2 yards per game.

The Bears, Mitchell Trubisky’s inability to get the offense untracked has been an ongoing saga in the Windy City, but he threw for a season-high 338 yards to go with three scores and directed a winning 90-yard touchdown drive at Detroit. Anthony Miller had a breakout game with a career-high nine catches for 140 yards while fellow wideout Allen Robinson added eight receptions for 86 yards and a score. Rookie David Montgomery had 75 yards rushing on only 16 carries after he was limited to 40 yards or fewer in five of his previous seven contests. Khalil Mack and Chicago’s defense rank seventh overall (319.7 yards) and against the run (97.5).

BigLou-I generally don’t like doing this but but both these teams inspire very little in me to take either of them this evening with my hard earned money…PASS
