One of MLB’s best hurlers tries to pitch the Nationals into the NLCS as Max Scherzer will be on the bump for the winner take all game five against the Dodgers. Scherzer has easily been one of baseball’s most dominant pitchers over the last five years and after the Dodgers got the series back to the Nations Capitol for Game Five, Nats fans have to feel good about their chances with Max on the hill.

Los Angeles has found a way to get their offense going when they needed it most after getting in a 2-1 hole and now will need to keep it going against one of the stingiest pitchers in the Bigs. This is going to be a hell of a game and one that Dodgers starter Rich Hill will not be an afterthought in as he has been tremendous since coming over at the deadline from the Oakland A’s with a sub 2 ERA in his starts in the National League.

While I can see this game going late with only one run between the teams, there is just no way that for the price, you can’t go with Scherzer and the home standing Nats. Look for Max to have one of his best starts of the season and for the Nationals to march on to face the Cubs in the NLCS.
