This should be a ton of fun in the ATL as two teams that have visions of both sugarplums and a berth in the NFC title game get it going Saturday afternoon to open up the Division round of the playoffs. The Falcons have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL and the Hawks have one of the better defenses so something has got to give in the Dirty South.
While Atlanta has been resting up waiting on Seattle, the Seahawks had to get past a Lions team last week in the Emerald City that simply didn’t have enough to hang with Russell Wilson and company. This week presents a different challenge for the Hawks as Atlanta doesn’t have a defense that always scares you, but has an offense that gives you nightmares.
Look for this to be a close game early on and for Russell Wilson to make some huge plays with both his arm and legs, but as the game goes on the Falcons offense will just be too much even for the tough Seattle D. By the second half this game likely could be well out of range for Seattle as my pick for the Super Bowl out of the NFC shows just how ready they are to make a serious playoff run.
7.4 DTM Bagels and Locks on the Falcons (ATL -5)
