If I was the CEO at Fonner Park I would do everything in my power to find out how they could extend their current meet while most other tracks are close down due to Covid-19.
Fonner Park has exploded as a betting option for those gamblers who just need some sort of action to satisfy their wagering needs.
Fonner park has seen handles of 3,4,5 and even $7+ million for a track who averaged just over 200K on any given day.
As of yesterday everything is being done to host a second season of racing at Fonner Park in Nebraska which would begin My 4th and conclude May 31st of this year.
“While no spectator racing continues to be conducted at Fonner Park under COVID-19 precaution and prevention guidelines, the continuation of racing is still very much a day-to-day prospect,” Fonner Park CEO Chris Kotulak said. “The ability to continue racing with minimal national and global wagering opportunities has cast a brilliant light on Fonner Park. There has been a chunk of mutuel handle on the Fonner Park races, but money bet out of state only represents a chink of revenue compared to money bet on-track.”
If these numbers don’t impress you ,than nothing will.
Since March 23, the all-sources mutuel handle for Fonner Park has risen to a daily average of $2,836,904.not to shabby for a small track which was virtually unknown.
