Truro Raceway is raring to go this Friday evening with a stacked card of 14 races – including the Donnie and George Turner Memorial Stakes for three-year-old pacing colts and fillies – with each heat going for over $7,000 in purse money.

Race 13 will see the top-class event, for aged pacers, battle for a $2,500 purse. The field will feature 36-time winner Sock It Away coming in from P.E.I., with Corey MacPherson aboard, going up against local star Batterup Hanover in his season debut, for Paul Langille, after jogging in a pair of sharp qualifiers, over Truro, where he showed 26.4 final quarter speed in his latest. They’ll face the ‘Risky Bizz Group’ war-horse American Risk, with Todd Trites up, who has six straight top-class victories dating back to December of 2021. Rusty Riley (Darren Crowe) and Harry G (Ernie Laffin) complete the field of five.
