Italy vs. Turkey, Euro 2020| Fri-June 11th

After waiting a full year due to the pandemic we are now ready for Euro 2020 which kicks off this coming friday with Italy hosting Turkey at Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

The Turkish side are no slushes having drawn five of its eight matches in 2020 and in 2021 World Cup 2022 qualifying matches they beat both Noway and Neatherlands before having to settle on a draw versus Latvia.

The Italians (Azzurri) have not lost a game since September 2018 (1-0 to Portugal in the Nations League). What a differnce it made on this current 26 game streak for the Italian side who is unbeaten in 26 matches came after  failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup for the first time since 1958.

What a way to kick off the Tournament and with the Italian squad playing in front of home fans this should providethe early edge to the (Azzurri). I look for the Italain side to score early and go into the protective D with Turkey scoring to eqalize midway in the 2nd half and this opening game subsquantly ending in a draw..
