MLB Who’s Hot and Who’s Not – July 10

Heading into this week’s All Star break, no MLB team is hotter than the Los Angeles Dodgers. They won their last six games with three-game sweeps against Arizona and Kansas City this past week to improve to 61-29 at the break. Going back to early June, the Dodgers have won 26 of their last 30 games to open up a 7.5-game lead over the Diamondbacks in the NL West. Anyone betting on Los Angeles with BetAnySports just in the month of July would be up $482 on a $100 wager.

The Dodgers now own the best record in the Majors with those 61 wins in 90 games, but over in the American League the Houston Astros are a close second at 60-29. They have been one of the hotter betting teams all season long and there total return on a $100 bet this season stands at plus $1550. The Astros have done most of their damage on the road with a MLB-best 33 victories in 44 road games. They headed into the break with seven wins in their last 10 games to open up a 16.5-game lead over both the Los Angeles Angels and the Texas Rangers in the AL West.

The Boston Red Sox lost three of four games to Tampa Bay on the road this past weekend, but at 50-39 on the year they still lead the AL East by 3.5 games. Both the New York Yankees (45-41) and Tampa Bay (47-43) are in the hunt with Baltimore (42-46) and Toronto (41-47) falling further off the pace with losing records in their last 10 games. The Red Sox and Yankees will kick off the second half of the MLB regular season with a four-game tilt this weekend at Fenway Park including a double header on Sunday.

Another tight division race is in the AL Central where Cleveland (47-40) is 2.5 games up on Minnesota (47-40) and three games up on Kansas City (44-43). All three teams went into the All Star break on a losing note. The Royals have actually lost their last three games and the Twins dropped the last two games of this past weekend’s series against the Orioles.

Milwaukee has reeled off eight wins in its last 10 games to improve to 50-41 at the break. The Brewers now lead the Chicago Cubs and the St. Louis Cardinals by 5.5 games in the NL Central. Anyone betting on Milwaukee with BetAnySports all season long would be up $1513 on a $100 moneyline bet.
