NASCAR Cup Series: O’Reilly Auto Parts 253 Daytona Road Course
2 min readSunday we will witness the first of seven road course races on the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series schedule when the green flag drops at Daytona International Speedway.
Last week Kyle Busch won the 2021 Busch Clash on the road course Daytona Speed week, but that came at when Elliott and Ryan Blaney crashed on the second-to-last turn to allow Busch to take the checkered flag.
Today’s race should be a green light go from start to finish as weather isn’t expected to be a factor as the forecast calls for temperatures in the 60’s with partly cloudy conditions and very little chance of precipitation.
Sunday’s Cup race is scheduled for 70 laps (252.7 miles), with stage breaks after 16 and 34 laps. Chase Elliott won last year’s inaugural event on the Daytona Road Course.

When you look at the lines above and some sort of value in betting these guys on a road course race, you have to consider Ryan Blaney (14-1) as a value bet. Blaney has one career road course win to his credit but he has plenty of ability to grab his second at a nice price this afternoon.
