It is only fitting that the two hottest teams on the court during the regular season and the playoffs will finally get a chance to square off against one another in a best-of-seven winner-take-all battle in the NBA Finals. For the third-straight season, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors will face one another in the championship series and both teams come in hot both on the court and on the betting board at BetAnySports.

Cleveland needed 13 games to earn its third Eastern Conference title in three years. Following four-game sweeps over Indiana and Toronto in the first two rounds, it eliminated the top-seeded Boston Celtics in five games in the conference finals. Cleveland went 7-4-2 against the spread during this run and the total went OVER BetAnySports’ closing line in nine of the 13 games. The Cavaliers will open the NBA Finals on the road this Thursday night in a 9 p.m. (ET) tip on ABC as seven-point underdogs. They were a perfect 7-0 SU in their first seven road games this postseason while going a profitable 5-0-2 ATS. The total went OVER in four of those contests.

Golden State comes into this series with a SU 12-game winning streak following four-game sweeps of Portland, Utah and San Antonio in its first three rounds of the playoffs. The Warriors were able to cover in eight of the 12 games and the total went OVER in nine of those contests. This postseason, Golden State has won six games on its home court after closing as a double digit favorite with BetAnySports in each outing, but its record ATS stands at just 2-4.

The Warriors ousted Cleveland in six games to win a NBA title in 2015. The Cavaliers flipped the script last season in the midst of a 3-1 series deficit by winning the final three games to claim the 2016 world title. They met twice in the regular season this year with the home team winning each game both SU and ATS. The total stayed UNDER BetAnySports’ closing line in both meetings and it has stayed UNDER or ended as a PUSH in seven of the last nine games between the two. Cleveland holds a 5-2 edge ATS in the last seven meetings overall.
