NFL Who’s Hot and Who’s Not – Week 10

2 min read

The Dallas Cowboys first got hot on draft day when they selected Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth overall pick and Dak Prescott in the fourth round. These two rookies have helped the Cowboys turn things around in a big way with a 7-1 straight-up start. Bettors along for this ride have been cleaning up behind a stellar 7-0-1 record against the spread. Dallas has now covered in its last seven games heading into this Sunday’s road game against Pittsburgh as a 2.5-point underdog with BetAnySports.

Most bettors expected New England to be a solid play once Tom Brady returned from a four-game league suspension, but the Patriots hit the ground running from Week 1 and they went into last week’s bye at 7-1 both SU and ATS. They come into this Sunday night’s game against Seattle as seven-point home favorites in one of the biggest matchups on the NFL’s Week 10 schedule.

The New Orleans Saints started the season with three-straight losses, but they have battled their way back to 4-4 SU with last week’s win at San Francisco. After failing to cover in two of those first three games, they have paid off in their last five games on BetAnySports’ closing line to post a 6-2 record ATS through the first half of their regular season schedule. The Saints are a perfect 5-0 ATS as underdogs, but they have been opened as 1.5-point home favorites against Denver this week.

The 5-3 New York Giants could be a team on the rise despite an overall record of 3-3-2 ATS with three-straight covers. This Monday night they will play host to Cincinnati and BetAnySports has listed New York as a 2.5-point favorite.

As far as a few teams that have not been all that hot lately you should probably put Minnesota at the top of the list. Following a blistering start in which the Vikings went 5-0 both SU and ATS, they have now dropped their last three games SU after closing as favorites in all three contests. They will go on the road this week as three-point underdogs against Washington.

Over in the AFC, the Pittsburgh Steelers have lost their last three games both SU and ATS heading into that huge inter-conference showdown against Dallas. Pittsburgh is now an even 4-4 both SU and ATS, but it has covered in three of four home games this year.
