Robert Lowe enters the ULM game ranked among the top four rushing leaders in Sun Belt Conference games only with an average of 112.4 yards in Texas State five league games. Lowe ranks fifth among the Sun Belt Conference overall rushing leaders after averaging 89.4 yards in Texas State’s first nine games. He has run for 805 yards and seven touchdowns on 147 carries. He moved among the top five career rushing leaders at Texas State this season. He enters the ULM game with 2,917 yards on 504 carries during his career. He needs to gain 24 more yards to move past Bronson Sanders (1998-01) for fourth place on among Texas State’s top career rushing leaders.

 

Tyler Jones surpassed 5,000 yards passing in his career against South Alabama when he completed 13 of 23 passes for 105 yards. Jones enters the ULM game having thrown for 5,700 yards in his career. He needs to pass for an additional 977 yards to move among the top three career leaders at Texas State.

 

Texas State ranks 10th nationally and lead the Sun Belt Conference teams in net punting with an average of 41.17 yards per punt this season. As an individual, Lumi Kaba ranks eighth nationally and is second among league leaders after averaging 45.2 yards on 47 punts this season after averaging a season-best 51.2 yards on five punts and 49.8 yards on five punts against New Mexico State. He had two 50-yard punts, including a 65-yard against Georgia State. He also recorded three 50-yard punts, including the second-longest of his career (66 yards) against New Mexico State. Three of his punts were inside the 20-yard line and one resulted in a touchback against the Aggies. Kaba enters the ULM game leading the Sun Belt in conference games only after averaging 47.5 yards on 29 punts in Texas State’s five Sun Belt games. He has thirteen 50-yard punts and 10 of his punts have landed inside the 20-yard line.

 

Entering the 2015 season, ULM’s Gerrand Johnson is just one of six players in the FBS ranks to have tallied 200 or more tackles in a career and 20 or more tackles for loss. Johnson is the only player from the Sun Belt Conference on the list and he is also the only defensive lineman to make up the group of six. The Rayville, La., native enters his final collegiate season with 200 tackles and 29.5 tackles for loss. The list was compiled by Art Chase, Asst. AD / External Affairs at Duke. In 2015, Johnson has tallied 46 total tackles and 7.0 tackles for loss to push his career totals to 246 tackles and 36.5 tackles for loss.

 

ULM redshirt freshman defensive lineman Ben Banogu had his named called often in the Warhawks’ road tilt at Tulsa on October 10, 2015. Banogu set a trio of career highs as he registered nine total tackles, four tackles for loss (18 yards) and two sacks (15 yards). His four TFLs and two sacks are tied for second most in the Sun Belt Conference this season With the big performance against the Golden Hurricane combined with the home tilt against Georgia Southern, Banogu, from his end position, registered 14 total tackles including seven tackles for loss (27 yards).
