Sunday March 21st|No. 3 Arkansas (23-6) v No. 6 Texas Tech (18-10)
2 min readA great match up on Sunday when No. 3 Arkansas (23-6) will take on No. 6 Texas Tech (18-10) in the second-round of South Region bracket.
Arkansas got there when they pulled away from colgate in the second half of their opening game with an 85-68 victory .
Texas Tech advanced to round two after starting slow versus Utah State but had enough to over come that slow start on route to a 66-53 win.
Arkansas has won 10 of its last 11 games, losing only to LSU in the SEC tournament semifinals, and are 9-2 ATS in that stretch. Since a blowout 90-59 loss at Alabama on Jan. 16, the Razorbacks are 13-2 straight up and 11-4 ATS.
Texas Tech lost its last two regular-season games and five of its last eight, although every loss was to a team that is seeded fourth or better in the NCAA Tournament. The Red Raiders are 4-7 ATS in their last 11.
Both finished strong Friday to advance to a Sunday second-round meeting in the South Region.
Americasbookie has the following posted line
Odds: Arkansas -0.5, Total 140.5
The Razorbacks are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games against teams with a straight up winning record. The Red Raiders are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 neutral site games and 7-16 ATS in their last 23 games overall. The Razorbacks are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Sunday games and 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games overall
Looking at the roasters Tech might be the better team on paper but they struggled versus Utah St and Arkansas has a more balanced attack in my books so I’m going to lay that small number in this one and grab the Razorbacks.
My Prediction: Arkansas 74 Texas Tech 65 (Arkansas -0.5) WINNER
