Super Bowl 56 Picks and Predictions: Bengals vs. Rams

3 min read

Many ways to get involved with Super Bowl 56

The Super Bowl 56 participants were known after the two conference championship games were contested on Jan 30th with top seeds Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals emerging to advance to the biggest game of the year.

It’s a difficult game to handicap, with the Rams currently laying as many -3.5 points at Americas bookie, with lines elsewhere in the minus -4.0 range. The good news is that in this game, you don’t have to be involved with the side or total to have action. There are proposition bets everywhere!

There are spates of team props that will only grow as we get closer to kickoff. The usual team props are all there (team to score first/last, the double result, when the time of the first score will come, the first touchdown being a pass or any other type of score) and there are so many of them that it’s literally overwhelming the first time you check out the betting menu.

There are a dizzying array of props involving both quarterback Joe Burrow, who has piloted the Bengals while covering seven straight & going 5-0 ATS as underdogs over this stretch.
What about  Matthew Stafford  guiding Los Angeles to won eight in their last nine games coming into the Super Bowl.

Being the first Super Bowl for both quarterbacks if you think they’ll feel the early game getters there are a few prop bets offered at Americas Bookie you should look at.

Will LAR Score on their First Drive?
YES +129
NO -169

Will CIN Score on their First Drive?
YES +140
NO -185

Another interesting prop is whether any specific skill player on offense will score at least one touchdown in a game. I personally think Cam Akers is a cinch to score one on Sunday. On this specific prop wager Akers is only a slight (+110) to score at least one touchdown with LA having to win the game in order for you to cash the ticket.

Cam Akers to have 1+ touchdowns and LAR to Win?
YES +110

You can also bet a prop that involves particular individuals to get to and/or over certain milestone yardage marks in the game. If you think Joe Burrow is going scramble and rush for over (13 yards in the game)  you can lay (-114 to win $100) on that prop play.

There will be at least 25+ players featured in these “special player props” and they will have been up for over a week by kickoff on Feb. 13! Check those out now at Americasbookie.com

Game Selection: Rams -3 (-110) or (-2.5, -150)
To say the Bengals are lucky to be here is an understatement. Having played the roll of underdog now in 3 straight playoff games this is probably where that streak is going to end.
When you examine Cincinnati  post season success it came at the hands of their opponents where Cincinnati  benefited from timely giveaways on the other side of the ball. The Bengals have been out gained in all three playoff games.
I personally don’t see the Rams making those costly errors on the offensive side of the ball and their defense should be able to exploit the offensive line of the Bengals who already seen Joe Burrow  taken down 12 times already this postseason. The Rams defense is as tough as nails finished third  in the league with 50 regular-season sacks.Prediction: Rams 30, Bengals 23
