Visualization and Planning Enable Victories in Three Point and Skills Competions
2 min readCollege bsketball will kickstart after this weekend. The Pros reign supreme as the All-Star game came to New York. Facets of the crown were to be seen with the three point and skills competition. Who raced out to an insurmountable lead in the final of the event? Meanwhile a deliberate pace took the title in the other highlight of the evening. Read on as ATB brings you a glimpse into the Saturday night entertainment of NBA All Star weekend.
Visualization to a New Level
James Harden was stuck in an elevator and his social media let the world in on this. Instead of relaxing, he had this added tension to deal with. It got to him and he finished last in the NBA Three Point contest. Alert eyes also caught JJ Redick continually going over the three point line. Disqualification on a number of shots prevented him from going to the final. Three people got to go on and it was the two Golden State players (Curry and Thompson) along with Irving of the Cavs. Here is where the practice of successful visualization came in. Stephen made thirteen shots in a row from downtown in the contest and easily took the final. He is your champion with a display of the ages that could help cement an MVP award this year.
Showboat Sunk
Patrick Beverly was a determined individual in the skills competition. He sought to do each part of the contest at his own pave. This caused much chagrin as Jeff Teague gained a substantial edge getting to the last portion with enough time to showboat. Waving or air high fiving people, he made multiple attempts to hit a three to eliminate Patrick. He could not while Beverly caught up and hit his first. This was the story of the entire evening in this one on one bracket style competition. He arrived last but was clutch when it most counted. The tortoise overcame the hare once again to take home the title in the 13th year this was held during All Star Weekend.
